Music Monday: Empty Vegas

So when I first heard this song, it sounded like The Weeknd (pronounced as if it were spelled Weekend, as opposed to Weakened) had gotten into his dad’s stash of 80s synths and drum machines. Didn’t realize at the time it was the video with an empty Fremont Street in Vegas — among other locations. Makes it eerily prescient.

So, on hot summer days, the people of Las Vegas like to escape to the relative cool of nearby Mount Charleston. In winter, there’s even skiing. From this particular vantage, it is said that you could have viewed above ground atomic testing Back In The Day.
