I will be attending BlogWorld this weekend. Specifically, I will be on a panel Saturday called “The Political Blogosphere In Transition.”
Here’s the official description:
The political blogosphere was born after the divisive 2000 presidential election and has matured rapidly in the eight years since. The selection of a new president in 2008 will be a key transition for political bloggers who have been inspired or infuriated by the policies of George W. Bush. How will the “netroots” and the “rightroots” react?
Moderator: Austin Bay
Panelists: Pam Spaulding, Rob Neppell, Bridget Magnus, Roger Simon
Many thanks to Joe Gandelman of The Moderate Voice for recomending me. I will be representing them as well as myself.
Awesome, I’ll be there too! If you’re interested in dinner on Friday night I’m going with about 15 other awesome women. Email me and let me know.
Please post the findings of your panel, as the Political Blogosphere seems to be polarizing at roughly the same rate as the Universe expands.
As a moderate Republican, I made it my goal this election cycle to join, follow, and comment in one left wing blog, and one right wing blog. Arguing in both for a more moderate, central, and factual view.
The left wing blog has been a pleasant surprise. They certainly have some wild conspiracy theories, but if you discuss/disagree, they are generally willing to listen, even if they don’t always agree.
The right wing blog has been a total nightmare. Most of my comments, when striving for factual accuracy are deleted, or censored, or even edited to alter my original meaning!
I found the right wing blog from Central Sanity’s blog list. It’s here:

What a complete and total nightmare.
Sounds great! If there’s a podcast, or any write-ups or transcripts of your panel discussions, could you provide us with a link later on?
