Summerlin is a master planned community on the West edge of town. Downtown Summerlin is a relatively new outdoor shopping complex. They have put up both a tree and an ice rink.

Town Square is an outdoor shopping complex on Las Vegas Blvd., but somewhat South of the Strip itself. I would not recommend walking from your hotel.
